On Tuesday 20th September we held our Annual General Meeting at our office in 118 Broadway. As well as staff, trustees and volunteers the meeting was attended by a variety of members of the local community, including members of local churches, partners from the business and charity sectors and Didcot's mayor, Steve Connel - pictured with TRAIN's Lead Youth Worker, Alice Dore.
After refreshments we heard reports of the work of TRAIN so far this year from Brian McNamee (Chair), Alice Dore (Lead Youth Worker), Carolyn Fishwick (Treasurer), Joanna Schüder (Team Administrator) and Ian Pickering (Secretary). The minutes of last year's AGM and some minor amendments to the constitution were accepted. The two trustees who were standing down this time, Ben Drabble and Jenny Simm, were thanked for their valuable contribution to the charity over many years. We learnt that there were two new people intersted in joining the trustees and that there would be a Special General Meeting for the purpose of electing them. It was a great to once again feel the support of our local community for the important work of TRAIN and to celebrate our achievements.
