Didcot TRAIN Youth Project


TRAIN stands for To Reach out And INteract with young people. This is exactly what our youth workers and volunteers do. We go out (2-3 times a week for 2 hours or more) and talk to young people that gather on the streets, in the parks or wherever. We offer alternatives to hanging around, give information or just offer a listening ear.

To be able to offer this and other projects to the young people of Didcot takes a lot of time and resources so your financial support is key to the success of this ongoing work.

A gift of £10 can pay for a young person to go on a trip.

A regular donation of £50 a month pays for the hire of the leisure centre to provide weekly football training.

A few examples of recent donations we have been incredibly grateful to receive...

- £80 from the Ridgeway Division of Trefoil Guild (part of Girl Guiding UK), who rather than organising a typical Secret Santa this Christmas, had the very kind idea of each contributing a donation

- Tesco held a wonderful charity football match at East Hagbourne Pavilion

-  Didcot Train Station recently chose to make us their sponsored charity, donating funds from their fundraising days and book case!
