Welcoming our new CEO, Ben Drabble

We are excited to introduce Ben Drabble as the new CEO of TRAIN!

Ben brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role as CEO of TRAIN, combining a strong background in charity leadership with a profound connection to the organisation.

His journey with TRAIN started in 2010 as a detached youth work volunteer, demonstrating his early commitment to supporting young people in Didcot. Over the years, he progressed to become a trustee, taking on responsibilities for operational matters and bringing a unique perspective into the inner workings of the charity. Beyond TRAIN, Ben’s career in charity leadership has been marked by significant achievements. As the Director of Communications and Fundraising at BMS World Mission, he successfully led a large team to grow voluntary income across diverse fundraising channels. Before this, Ben transitioned into the third sector from a civil engineering background, choosing a youth-focused role where he led an international gap-year program for BMS World Mission for several years. He lives in Didcot with his family and his two children attend school locally. He also plays football for Sutton Courtenay and is a member of a church in the area.

"I am thrilled to step into the role of CEO at TRAIN, a charity that has been a significant part of my journey and one that I deeply respect and support for its transformative work with young people in our community. Having been actively involved with TRAIN over the years, I've witnessed firsthand the positive impact it has on the lives of young individuals, and I am eager to contribute to its continued success.

I consider it a great honour to lead an organisation with such a strong reputation and proven track record in delivering essential services and opportunities for young people. As TRAIN holds a special place in my heart, I am excited about the prospect of working collaboratively with the dedicated team, supporters, and partners to further enhance its positive influence in Didcot and beyond.

I am grateful for the opportunity to lead an organisation that aligns with my values and passion for empowering young people. Together, we will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve, ensuring that every young person has the support they need to thrive and become positive change-makers in the world."
